To support a multi-phase capital improvement initiative, our team was engaged to oversee several construction efforts within a live, urban campus setting. These projects aimed to upgrade critical infrastructure while improving the institution’s construction delivery standards. We provide end-to-end project management services, including procurement coordination, cost and schedule controls, and oversight from design through close-out. The broader goal: bring consistency, transparency, and accountability to construction across occupied educational facilities without impacting day-to-day operations. 

One of the centerpiece efforts was the phased construction of a $3.6million fire training facility, designed to expand public safety training infrastructure without interrupting campus life. The scope included a three-story tilt-up concrete training tower, an apparatus shed, critical utility integration such as fire water lines, trenching, and SCBA compressor systems. For this facility, every construction detail, from structural placement to architectural finishes, needed to be in alignment with the institution’s historic campus design.  

The tight urban site and residential neighborhoods required intensive coordination and phased delivery, with continuous communication between the project team, campus operations, and nearby stakeholders. These efforts minimized interruptions to campus functionality and strong community support.  

Similarly, our team managed a $2 million stadium retrofit, replacing more than 82,000 square feet of synthetic turf, rebuilding the subgrade, and implementing a new drainage system. Given the 1+ acre footprint and stringent SWPPP compliance requirements, our team provided permitting support, implemented environmental control strategies, and phased construction to preserve safe access and mobility across campus during the entire lifecycle of the project. 

Across all projects, we maintained consistent stakeholder engagement, providing regular reporting, field inspections, and quality control oversight. Our integrated approach combines technical expertise and technology to enhance delivery, especially in logistically complex and operationally sensitive environments. 

By delivering complex improvements in active environments, the institution now benefits from a replicable model for capital project delivery that balances institutional goals with the realities of occupied facilities. The result: better communication, stronger accountability, and improved project outcomes campus wide.
