Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Client-Facing Collaboration:

Work directly with clients to understand their business and project challenges and translate these into data-driven solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and project teams.

Data Analysis & Visualization:

Use Power BI to analyze large datasets and create interactive, visually engaging dashboards and reports that provide clear business insights related to operational performance, project controls, scheduling, forecasting, and cost tracking.

Power Apps Development:

Build and customize Power Apps solutions to streamline client operations and automate business processes, enhancing overall efficiency and workflow visibility.

Project Controls Reporting:

Develop reporting solutions that support project controls functions including scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, resource analysis, and performance reporting for capital projects and operational programs.

Primavera P6 Integration & Reporting:

Work with Primavera P6 scheduling data to support schedule management, reporting, and dashboard development. Help integrate schedule data into enterprise reporting solutions and executive-level dashboards.

Strategic Insights:

Translate data into actionable insights that drive decision-making. Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis and visual storytelling.

Project Management:

Lead BI projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, schedulers, project controls teams, and executive stakeholders.

Training & Support:

Provide training and guidance to clients on how to effectively use Power BI dashboards and Power Apps solutions. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools, Power Platform capabilities, and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and improve existing BI solutions to maximize impact and usability.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Power BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a consulting or client-facing environment
  • Expertise in Power BI including data modeling, report creation, dashboard design, DAX, and visualization best practices
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps to design custom applications that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Experience working within the construction, utilities, engineering, or capital project industries
  • Familiarity with Project Controls processes including scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, and performance reporting
  • Experience using Primavera P6 for schedule management and reporting
  • Strong ability to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights through compelling visualizations and reports
  • Solid understanding of data structures, databases, ETL processes, and SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way for clients at all levels
