We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in hospitals and healthcare construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams throughout all phases of construction, from pre-construction through closeout, while ensuring compliance with HCAI requirements and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and coordination.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the project team through all phases of construction including pre-construction, procurement, coordination, and project closeout.
- Assist with the inspection process, including field compliance, documentation, and permit reviews in accordance with HCAI requirements.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and material tracking logs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and goals are met.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules while documenting construction progress in real time.
- Track long-lead materials and equipment to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and installation.
- Participate in onsite coordination efforts including site walks, inspections, and project progress meetings.
- Support field teams in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards across all construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and compile project closeout documentation including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and final compliance records.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in construction project management or project engineering.
- Direct experience with HCAI projects and regulatory processes is required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction standards, inspections, and compliance procedures.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, and procurement tracking.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and standard office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience working on hospital, medical facility, or OSHPD/HCAI regulated projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools and document control systems.
